On The Cutting Edge

On The Cutting Edge

Sometimes you just gotta step out of the box y’all!

Do you feel like your style needs a face lift or would you like a new look?  If so, I challenge you to step up your style and dress “On The Cutting Edge”.  Keep reading as I am providing some major tips to help you on your way to a new you.

I don’t wear red lipstick too often, but I fell in love with “Thrill” lipstick by Reveal Cosmetics.

Many people routinely wear the same thing knowing they have a closet full of clothes.  They are either lackadaisical or afraid to try a new look.  I have a few tips to get you out of your comfort zone, and into using your complete wardrobe.

Tip #1.  Think outside the box

One idea to help you think outside the box is to think of yourself as a blank canvas.  Every day is an opportunity to be artistic and create your personal style.  When you first wake up, remind yourself about how great of a day you want to have, and part of that means looking your best.  Don’t settle for looking boring as if you didn’t put any thought into it.  If this is too difficult of a task to do in the morning by all means, select your outfit the night before.

Tip #2. No more rules

Long gone are the days when people should ever consider abiding by fashion rules such as no white after labor day, handbags must match shoes, no mixing black and blue, no pattern mixing, no sequins during the day, etc.  I could go on and on, but I get a headache just thinking about these silly myths that someone (Lord even knows who) created.  There are simply no rules any more.  No one is going to judge you for being you, and if they do, who cares any way. 🙂  As long as you look and feel good about you, that’s all that matters.

Tip #3. Wear something different every day

While we know no one has an endless amount of clothes,  most people probably do not wear more than 50% of their wardrobe.  If you fall into this category, deliberately make it a point to wear something different every single day.  I often hear women say they have a multitude of handbags, but rarely change.  If you can’t fathom the idea of wearing a new piece of clothing every single day, take baby steps and start with something small such as your handbag or shoes.  Eventually you will get the idea and want to include your wardrobe.  Try it just for fun, and see how long you can go without repeating.

Tip #4.  Hire a Personal Stylist

Many people think having a Personal Stylist is just for the wealthy, or for people who just can’t dress themselves.  Again, this idea is false because there are no rules.  My passion is to help you.  I can help transform your wardrobe to a higher level, so that you stand out from the crowd.  This service is provided for events, or for every day looks.  I would love to give you some fresh ideas for a new look.
