Southern Girls and Pearls

Southern Girls and Pearls

This is a man’s world!  This is a man’s world!  But it wouldn’t be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl.

It’s no secret that southern girls LOVE pearls!  I’m truly a southern girl at heart.  Today I decided to rock my pearls, but with my man’s hat.  I know it’s an unconventional combination, but that’s me in a nutshell.

Growing up I was somewhat of a tomboy, which plays significantly into who I am today.  I didn’t discriminate.  I played with both girls and boys.  I recall going from playing with dolls and double dutch with girls, to dodgeball and softball with boys.  I was never made to feel like I had to choose sides.  That in turn is displayed through my personal style in loving to pull together looks that have a great balance between a feminine and masculine feel.

The good thing is there are no rules!  The moral of the story is don’t let gender specific items stop you from experimenting with and expressing your own personal style.

I hope you had an enjoyable St. Patrick’s Day and wish you a great weekend ahead!
