Another FLY Cape

Another FLY Cape

Hey Friday Loves!

Today on my blog I’m featuring another FLY cape, and this ensemble includes multiple layers of warmth.

The trick to pulling together this look is in the layering and color scheme.  I wore a light weight yellow sweater as a base layer.  Base layers are essential to keeping you warm.  The fabric of the sweater is not only soft and comfortable against my skin, but breathes so I won’t get overly hot.

Next I added a tuxedo vest for the fashion layer.  I chose a vest so the color of the sweater could still show, as well as not create bulk.

The next layer and focal point of the entire look is this lovely cape as the outer layer.  The cape provides the overall warmth and style, but does not weigh me down like an oversized coat would.

Next is my topper, which consists of a fedora hat.  I love fedora hats because in my opinion they’re one of the most badass types of hats there are.  They simply add fierceness to any outfit.  Toppers in general are very important because they top off an entire look, and add another layer of warmth.

Last but not least to complete this layered look, I added plaid leggings which adds the cohesiveness between the sweater, vest and cape.

I really hope you’ve enjoyed this cape series, and I’m a little saddened it’s coming to an end.  The good news is I LOVE CAPES so it NEVER truly ends!  I’ve received so much positive feedback on this series that I’ll continue to style capes and provide inspiration throughout the upcoming seasons. 🙂
