Mural, Mural on the Wall

Mural, Mural on the Wall

Happy Friday everyone, I’ve always loved street art, graffiti, and murals because of their creative, inspiring and unrestricted ability to capture my attention.  It’s been refreshing to see a lot of cities embracing colorful streets and walls by artists from all walks of life who are able to tell stories and express themselves in such a unique way. To my surprise, my recent visit to the Gestamani neighborhood of Cartagena, Columbia topped all of the places I’ve ever traveled to for having such an abundance of diverse beautiful artistic expressions.  It was such a cool neighborhood.  I’ve decided share some of my favorite murals from the trip.  I wish every country was this colorful!     Photography by SherriaTravels, Sherria29_Photography, SherriaAroundTheWorld What I’m Wearing: // Cartagena Headwrap // Fanm Djanm // Pom-Pom Hoop Earrings // J.Crew // Off Shoulder Crop Top/Maxi Skirt // ShoeDazzle // Keira Flat Gladiator Sandals // ShoeDazzle   Love, The Ultimate...
Give Me My Flowers

Give Me My Flowers

“Give me my flowers while I can still smell them” is what first came to mind when I saw this beautiful floral mural.  I don’t know how long this quote has been around, it still holds true today.  We should always strive to show people how much they mean to us while we can. On another note, it’s my birthday month and I’m strutting into the next year just as happy as I can be! Getting older is such a privilege, and I never take that for granted.  This floral mural was perfect the perfect backdrop for this vintage style monochrome outfit.  I’ve always been a huge fan of black and white because it’s so eye-catching, classy and timeless.  Since some of these pieces are vintage, I’ve found some similar pieces to recreate this look.  I hope you enjoy this post darlings!  If you do, please leave me a comment letting me know how so. Until next time, Muah! The First Annual Ultimate Fashionista Tea

The First Annual Ultimate Fashionista Tea

Hello Lovelies, FAMILY IS EVERYTHING!  Last month my family established a new tradition that I’m simply over the moon about.  I hosted The First Annual Ultimate Fashionista Tea for all the ladies in my family.  We are small and like many other families, over the years we have loss what I call our anchors.  These anchors were the ladies and gentlemen who always kept our family together from as long as I can remember.  This has concerned me deeply and I have been wanting to do something special for quite some time.  I prayed about it and God placed it on my heart to host this tea party to bring our family closer, fellowship, as well as honor our elder ladies which include my dear mama, her two sisters, and a cousin. All I can say is God showed up, showed out!  Everyone was mesmerized by two special and talented sister friends who blessed us with their gifts from God.  Minister Edith Berry of Prolific Epic Partners based in Raleigh, NC performed a beautiful mime, and Sister Jacqueline Price Williams based in Chesapeake, VA performed beautiful praise dances.  Both ladies were a blessing, and their anointed performances left a permanent mark of peace, love and serenity in our hearts. Overall, the day was a huge success and blessing to everyone!  Words can’t express how honored I was to be in the presence of such royal and stylish ladies who I’m blessed to be able to call my family.  I thank each and everyone who attended, performed, and assisted in any way.  Most of all I thank God for using...
When Art Meets Fashion – Part 2 (The Enchanted Forest)

When Art Meets Fashion – Part 2 (The Enchanted Forest)

Happy Memorial Day! I hope everyone is having a safe and enjoyable holiday.  If you’ve been following me, you know a few weeks ago I had a photo session with Daniel J Studios and featured “When Art Meets Fashion – Part 1” on my blog.  I talked about how amazing the shoot was, and how important it is to have someone capture your work so that it’s presented correctly.  Today I’m happy to share Part 2 of the shoot, and I hope you will find it equally amazing!  This set reminded me of an enchanted forest, and what came to mind is how we sometimes miss the forest for the trees. A forest is full of beautiful trees for the beholding but when we get so engrossed in the individual trees, we can forget that each tree is merely one of thousands in the forest and lose sight of what really matters. Let’s not forget to take a deep breath, take a step back and evaluate the bigger picture in the grand scheme of things. The ability to not see the bigger picture from God’s point of view can cause us to be stressed, frustrated and unhappy.  Happy people have a larger perspective and see the big picture.  No matter what’s going on in our lives we must feel confident that God is working out a plan. Royal Wedding Ready

Royal Wedding Ready

Happy Saturday everyone! Did you watch the Royal Wedding?  Since I wasn’t invited I decided to feature a look fit for attending such a historical event. A trend among royal family buffs in recent years is fascinators.  These little hats were popularized by the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, and are called fascinators because they actually attach to the head.  I’m a lover of hats and have many, but this whimsical fascinator by Giovannio Hats is one of my all time favorites.  I chose this chiffon polka dot white dress by Light In The Box because its unique appearance is sophisticated, classic, fun and modern at the same time.  This timeless print will never go out of style. If you watched the wedding what are your thoughts and who do you think was best dressed?  Have a great rest of the weekend and continue to be royal!   Photography by: Sharon Bui   What I’m Wearing: // Fascinator // Giovannio New York // ZIYI Women’s Chiffon Dress – Polka Dot Split Off Shoulder Dress // Light In The Box // Pearl Ankle Strap Heels // Akira (Sold out) Similar here   Love, The Ultimate Fashionista...
