Be My Valentine

Be My Valentine

Hello my Loves! I want to wish each and every one of you a Happy Valentine’s Day (whether you’re in love or not).  I prefer staying in on Valentine’s Day, but if I were going out to some where fancy I’d choose to wear this vintage dress from Boot & Trunk because it’s perfect for a romantic date.  Truth is, I’ll be at home watching Netflix and chilling, but I really needed an excuse to wear this gorgeous dress. lol. Whatever you choose to do today, I hope your day is filled with so much love that your cup runneth over.  Always remember to love you first, and if no one has told you they love you, I’ll be the first to do so.  I love you!   Photography by: Sharon Bui What I’m Wearing: // Vintage Dress // Boot & Trunk // Clutch // Vintage (old) // Iridescent Lock and Key Pump (Tahnee) // ShoeDazzle   Love, The Ultimate...
Muff Mania

Muff Mania

Happy Friday everyone! It’s been several weeks since my last blog post and I’m finally back after a short hiatus.  Sometimes it’s just good to pause from social media and reenergize.  Today I’m providing vintage style inspiration for my favorite winter accessory, to deal with the chilly weather we’ve been experiencing lately. This handy cold weather accessory, called a “muff” is classic, fun, and functional.  The muff has been around for quite some time, and serves as both a hand warmer and purse all in one.  I love how easy it is to slip my hands into one for a quick warm up.  Additionally, most vintage muffs have a zipper inside making them convenient for holding small important items us ladies just can’t live without. Muffs are available in all types of patterns and textures, which further add to their character.  As you can see, I’m wearing my favorite leopard pattern, but I also adore a gorgeous fur style as well.  Do you currently own a muff?  If not, would you consider wearing one?  Hopefully I’ve opened up the idea of adding this classic accessory to your wardrobe. Have a great weekend and stay stylish babes! Another FLY Cape

Another FLY Cape

Hey Friday Loves! Today on my blog I’m featuring another FLY cape, and this ensemble includes multiple layers of warmth. The trick to pulling together this look is in the layering and color scheme.  I wore a light weight yellow sweater as a base layer.  Base layers are essential to keeping you warm.  The fabric of the sweater is not only soft and comfortable against my skin, but breathes so I won’t get overly hot. Next I added a tuxedo vest for the fashion layer.  I chose a vest so the color of the sweater could still show, as well as not create bulk. The next layer and focal point of the entire look is this lovely cape as the outer layer.  The cape provides the overall warmth and style, but does not weigh me down like an oversized coat would. Next is my topper, which consists of a fedora hat.  I love fedora hats because in my opinion they’re one of the most badass types of hats there are.  They simply add fierceness to any outfit.  Toppers in general are very important because they top off an entire look, and add another layer of warmth. Last but not least to complete this layered look, I added plaid leggings which adds the cohesiveness between the sweater, vest and cape. I really hope you’ve enjoyed this cape series, and I’m a little saddened it’s coming to an end.  The good news is I LOVE CAPES so it NEVER truly ends!  I’ve received so much positive feedback on this series that I’ll continue to style capes and provide inspiration throughout the...
Wanna Be Tartan Somethin’

Wanna Be Tartan Somethin’

Happy Monday Loves! I can’t believe it’s almost the end of January and sadly my Cape series is coming to an end.  I’ve had so much fun sharing various ways to wear capes this season.  I truly hope you’ve been inspired by at least one of the outfits I’ve shared.  Since many of the capes I’ve shared so far have been a bit formal, today’s post provides a twist on a vintage tartan plaid wool cape that’s more casual. I decided to pair my cape with flared jeans.  While this mod look is fun, it’s still elegant and chic.  Yes, jeans can be chic!  An outfit like this can easily be worn on a casual day out with friends.  If you don’t wear heels, you can wear low-mid heel ankle boots or even flats. Theres so many reasons to add a cape to your wardrobe.  They’re the perfect transitional piece that you can rock over just about anything.  I also love how flattering they are to all body types.  If you don’t own one already, I recommend getting your hands on one ASAP.  I promise you’ll enjoy it for many years to come! The Boss Lady

The Boss Lady

Hey Loves, I hope everyone enjoyed a fabulous long weekend, and had a chance to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. yesterday!  I had a nice long weekend relaxing at the beach.  Since most people are back to work today I’m providing style inspiration for a cape that’s befitting for the office. The dramatic silhouette of a cape is designed with everyday wearability making this a fun and essential piece to own.  Capes are elegant and really are very versatile.  I wore this warm layer over a crisp white shirt and trousers, but this stylish piece can also be paired with almost any outfit including your go-to weekend denim.  The flexibility of capes make them an indispensable staple to your wardrobe you can wear again and again.   Photography by:  Em Grey Photography What I Am Wearing: //Wool Houndstooth Cape// Vintage //Trousers// Carmen Marc Valvo //Tartan Pumps// Tellen (To receive a New Member Exclusive offer to Buy 1 Get 1 Free – 2 Styles for $39.95, use my special link here – JustFab) //Handbag// Vintage   Shop This Look: JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser.
