Last week I started my Cape series where I’m featuring various capes through the end of January. My goal is to provide style inspiration on ways to wear capes. Although some people think of capes as a trend, I don’t view them that way as I wear them all the time.
Today’s feature is yet another vintage cape which I paired with modern over-the-knee boots and a wide-brimmed felt hat, giving this look a rebellious edge.
This casual look is one of my favorites for fall and winter. Just a basic black cape, leggings, and boots make it easy to recreate. With a cape like this the possibilities are endless, and this can go casual or into the evening if you would like.

I’m loving your cape series! It is inspiring me to invest in more capes! They’re such a fun alternative to coats and they make winter styles look so fashion-forward. Can’t wait to see more, Angela!
