Recapping the Sip and Shop hosted by Outerskin 2 and Reveal Cosmetics
Happy Monday Ladies! Outerskin 2 and Reveal Cosmetics teamed up to host an exclusive Sip and Shop yesterday, which was held at a private location. I can’t even begin to tell you about the fun I had. The event kicked off my summer shopping and truly lived up to all it was said to be, and more. Besides the latest fashion finds including apparel and jewelry, there were make overs, makeup tips and products, plenty of raffles, fun games, giveaways, delicious food, and sips. The event was a huge success not because of the material things, but because of the things money can’t buy which are relationships, networking and support that also occurred. It’s rare to attend an event where you walk in only knowing a few ladies, but walk out feeling like you have gained so many girlfriends. All the ladies are just phenomenal. These photo’s simply don’t do justice on how much fun we had! Over The Top Glam
Happy Fashion Friday! I felt like getting a little unconventional with my outfit today. Lately I’ve been mixing stripes with flowers, but decided to take it up a notch. Similar to leopard, stripes can be treated like a neutral, and be mixed with various other patterns, usually of the same color scheme. What makes this outfit beyond normal is the two different colors of stripes on stripes. With stripes on stripes, if you stay within the same complementary color scheme, the outfit will not clash. I paired these stripes with a fun tulle t-shirt I found for $12 while thrifting. Stripes on stripes can be a bit risky, but fashion is all about taking risks! What do you think? Being on vacation calls for a cheery, upbeat, and bold look, which is how this sophisticated chic ensemble was born. The task of packing for vacation can sometimes be a daunting one, trying to anticipate what will be needed. The Heart of the Matter
Let’s talk about Social Good! It’s what’s near and dear to my heart. I believe if every last one of us in the world would adopt some of the practices of organizations and businesses that promote social good, we can change the world to be a better place. I seem to connect better with those who have a sense of social responsibility, and are passionate about change. By volunteering in my local community, and supporting these types of entities, I’m doing my part to make a difference. It’s great to witness businesses and organizations either starting their business model to include more social goods in their strategy or expanding it. That is just totally awesome! My obsession lately is the lovely handmade bangle I purchased from Em Grey of Em Grey Photography, who also happens to be my photographer, and fellow blogger friend. Initially I had never heard of Noonday Collection, I but once Em schooled me I was impressed. Noonday Collection is a business that uses fashion to create meaningful opportunities for artisan entrepreneurs around the world.
