A Little Fringe Goes A Long Way

A Little Fringe Goes A Long Way

Don’t mind me.  I’m just strolling into this feature wearing flowers and fringe.  Is anyone ready for the Memorial Day holiday besides me?  It’s been raining in my area for the past several weekends, and I’m really looking forward to some nice dry sunny weather. What ever you’re planning, this is the perfect style inspiration, whether it be a lunch date with girlfriends, or dinner date with your Boo.  A true Fashionista knows that no outfit is complete without the perfect pair of shoes.  Fringe sandal heels as your main accessory are a great way to show your effortless style.  They just add a little something “extra” to any outfit.  Take a look at my favorite pair of amazing fringe heels by JustFab.  I paired them with a cute white top and floral printed pants.  It was the perfect choice, especially for summer! Have a safe and wonderful holiday Loves! Jump To It

Jump To It

I have a confession.  My latest obsession is with jumpsuits.  Please tell me I’m not in this alone 🙂 What’s not to love about these gigantic adult glammed up onesies, other than the occasional inconvenience of having to use a public restroom?  For me the benefit outweighs the trouble.  So let’s talk about three reasons why every woman should own a jumpsuit. Reason #1:  They are all-in-one.  You literally don’t have to think about what to pair them with. Reason #2:  They can be easily dressed up or down.  You can easily add a cool blazer or sweater, or opt for sandals instead of heels which completely changes the look. Reason #3:  They are easy to pack.  This one speaks for itself.   Just a few folds and Wala!  You have your entire outfit without the hassle of trying to figure it all out. I found this cool jumpsuit at one of my favorite local consignment shops.  I love the bold geometric pattern, which almost reminds me of a leopard, but not quite.  I paired this with my mama’s vintage hat and it gives it a totally different look.  Instant pizzaz! So ladies, don’t be afraid to try a jumpsuit.  I promise you there’s one out there for everyone! Spice Up Your Life with COLOR

Spice Up Your Life with COLOR

This jumpsuit is so comfortable, stylish, and fun!  Why not spice up your life with some color? You may think it’s practical to always wear neutral colors, but I’m here to encourage you to rethink that habit. Colors can not only influence your moods and thoughts, they can also make you look stunning.  Wearing this many colors can be tricky since not every shade looks good on every skin tone, but the key is knowing what looks good on you, and what you feel comfortable in. This stunning jumpsuit color combination turns an average look into a stunner!  If you’re hesitant about wearing this much color, start with a vivid accessory such as a pair of shoes, a bag, or scarf.  Another idea when deciding to what to wear with a colorful piece is to swap out your basic neutral piece such as black with a different bright color.  Before you know it, you’ll be on your way to making a splash in a bold way!   Photography by:  Nieto Photography   //Wide Brim Raffia Hat// Helen Kaminski //Jumpsuit// Uneak Boutique //Clutch// Elaine Turner //Sandals// Guess   Love, The Ultimate...
Float like a Butterfly. Sting like a Bee

Float like a Butterfly. Sting like a Bee

People tend to shy away from the black and yellow combination because they feel it leads to looking like a bumblebee.  I just happen to love the color combination together.  Although the colors are basic, the combination of the black and yellow can be a head turner.  Adding another color such as white can really make an outfit pop. Today’s outfit is a combination of vintage and new pieces.  My high side slit pencil skirt is vintage.  It’s a classic piece I’ve owned for quite some time.  The long midi length is perfect and the split although a little edgy, is still classy.  As I’ve said before, don’t be afraid to flaunt your best features in good taste.  The shoes by ShoeDazzle are just plain amazing!  I love the black and white stripes against the bright yellow toe.  These bad boys sold out immediately.  ShoeDazzle and JustFab offer such unique shoes, you have to grab them immediately or you will miss out. As always I encourage you all to take risks with your wardrobe.  Try something that’s a bit outside of your comfort zone, however make sure your still comfortable in it.  Until next time, “Bee Beautiful”! All the bells and whistles

All the bells and whistles

I’m really not one to follow trends, but when I saw this top my jaw hit the floor.  It truly has all the bells and whistles! You have to be living under a rock if you haven’t noticed all of the 1970s trends.  Huge hits include bell sleeves, off-the-shoulder tops, and tassels.  I was lucky enough to find a top that has it ALL!  That’s right, if you’re going to go for it, GO BIG or GO HOME!  Purple is one of my favorite colors, dating back to my first love, Prince.  I paired this top with my flare jeans and couldn’t forget the choker.  One of the things I love the most is how comfortable this boho chic look is, not to mention how free it makes me feel.  The ’70s very much encouraged the whole notion of individuality.  Although some may think some of the styles are wacky, I love how the world has evolved to once again embrace this era proving there is nothing wrong with expressing yourself. Like A Rock Star

Like A Rock Star

Am I the only one who at some point in life dreamed of becoming a rock star? My desire for that type of life started back in 1978 when Prince first debuted on the music scene.  Needless to say, I fell in love with the idea, and at some point drove my mom absolutely crazy with all of the Prince posters I hung to cover my bedroom wall. One of the things I loved most is the stylish clothing with loads of leather, lace, and studded accessories.  Those trends can still be found in the fashion world today.  Strangely, I started writing this blog post about Prince last night and then heard the news of his death today.  As I sit writing and thinking about exactly how much this man has strongly affected my life (from music to fashion to movies), I can only be grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to witness growing up being impacted by one of the most talented entertainers in the world! If you’re like me and haven’t been able to live out that rock star lifestyle, then wearing a rock star fashion outfit can be the next best thing. This blog post is dedicated to Prince!  I Adore You forever!
