Take THAT to the Bank
Happy Friday Loves, When people say the phrase “Take That To The Bank” they mean that something is for sure. Well, in my last photo shoot I literally took THAT to the bank, which was a bomb vintage dress that I can always count on as being timeless. This money green swing dress is perfect for any occasion and any season, making it an asset to anyone’s wardrobe. I love high quality vintage pieces because they are treasures that last a lifetime. In this day and age it’s hard to find quality pieces unless you opt for top end luxury designers. I also love the uniqueness of knowing when I step into a room chances are I’m not going to see my outfit. Swing dresses like this have become a stable for me because they make me look slimmer. I love how you can’t tell how much is under the widest portion of the dress if you know what I mean 🙂 They essentially work with most body types, and should be an absolute must for pear-shapes. The Golden Age
Hello my Loves, It seems like it’s been such a long time since my last blog post. Let me reassure you’re not forgotten because each and every one of you mean so much to me. I appreciate all the love and support you always show me, and will never take that for granted. As you know, I typically talk about fashion, and love that, but today I’m getting personal because several things have happened in my life that I’m over the moon about! Well, first and foremost is I’ve reached “The Golden Age”, and I’m ecstatic about it! Why? Simply because not everyone gets the privilege to age. When I think about how fortunate I am to be alive, and the joys, knowledge, lessons, trials, heartaches, celebrations and memories, I’ve experienced, it’s overwhelming and quite humbling. So as I reflect on the past 49 years, I’d like to share with you the things I’m most thankful for. God. I simply don’t know what I’d do without Him, PERIOD! I’m extremely thankful I was raised in a Christian home where I witnessed my parents serve God from the time I was born. As a little girl, I recall thinking we were going to church out of routine until I realized it was about developing a personal relationship with Him. As I got older I learned to trust Him in all that I did, and now I can’t imagine my life without Him. Today I’m beyond excited about my personal relationship with God. It Don’t Mean A Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing
(Doo wah, doo wah, doo wah, doo wah) Hey my Loves! I hope you’re enjoying the summer so far, and it hasn’t been too hot in your area. Today I’m taking a step back into the 50’s in a beautiful bold colored swing dress I found while thrifting for only $9.99. Yes, I must say I scored big time! These full-skirted dresses swing dresses are perfect for summer, and are absolutely one of my favorite types of dresses because they instantly add a touch of glamour and femininity to your look. They’re also the perfect dress for the apple shape because they camouflage mid-sections, make the waist appear smaller like an hourglass, as well as show off legs. Instead of pairing this dress with a classic pin curl hairdo, I opted for a straw fedora hat, which gives more of an edgy appearance. What’s your opinion of the way I styled this swing dress? Hello Loves, This red jumpsuit is Smokin’! A jumpsuit should be a once piece staple in every woman’s closet because they’re easy to wear, comfortable, flattering and stylish. One of the things I really love is the flexibility. You can also dress them up or down depending on the occasion. When selecting a jumpsuit, keep the following tips in mind: Purchase the right length, and select the right shoes. If the jumpsuit is too long, have it hemmed to fit the shoes you will wear the most. Make sure it defines your waist. If you have a little extra weight in your waist, I suggest adding a belt which will emphasize it more and make you look slimmer. You can also select a jumpsuit with a higher waistline to solve this issue. Buy the right fit and size. If you’re fuller on top try a looser style. If you’re fuller on the bottom, select a jumpsuit with a wide leg. If you’re short, look for a jumpsuit with more of a narrow silhouette. Buy a solid color. A single color elongates the body, and creates a flattering looking profile. This jumpsuit exudes confidence and undeniable glam. The ruffle and one shoulder is so feminine and flirty creating a look that’s polished, put-together, and sophisticated. Be prepared to stop traffic in this jumpsuit because it’s just that haute!
