Be My Valentine

Be My Valentine

Hello my Loves! I want to wish each and every one of you a Happy Valentine’s Day (whether you’re in love or not).  I prefer staying in on Valentine’s Day, but if I were going out to some where fancy I’d choose to wear this vintage dress from Boot & Trunk because it’s perfect for a romantic date.  Truth is, I’ll be at home watching Netflix and chilling, but I really needed an excuse to wear this gorgeous dress. lol. Whatever you choose to do today, I hope your day is filled with so much love that your cup runneth over.  Always remember to love you first, and if no one has told you they love you, I’ll be the first to do so.  I love you!   Photography by: Sharon Bui What I’m Wearing: // Vintage Dress // Boot & Trunk // Clutch // Vintage (old) // Iridescent Lock and Key Pump (Tahnee) // ShoeDazzle   Love, The Ultimate...
Muff Mania

Muff Mania

Happy Friday everyone! It’s been several weeks since my last blog post and I’m finally back after a short hiatus.  Sometimes it’s just good to pause from social media and reenergize.  Today I’m providing vintage style inspiration for my favorite winter accessory, to deal with the chilly weather we’ve been experiencing lately. This handy cold weather accessory, called a “muff” is classic, fun, and functional.  The muff has been around for quite some time, and serves as both a hand warmer and purse all in one.  I love how easy it is to slip my hands into one for a quick warm up.  Additionally, most vintage muffs have a zipper inside making them convenient for holding small important items us ladies just can’t live without. Muffs are available in all types of patterns and textures, which further add to their character.  As you can see, I’m wearing my favorite leopard pattern, but I also adore a gorgeous fur style as well.  Do you currently own a muff?  If not, would you consider wearing one?  Hopefully I’ve opened up the idea of adding this classic accessory to your wardrobe. Have a great weekend and stay stylish babes! Celebrating the 110th Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Founders’ Day with Amazing Grace Etiquette

Celebrating the 110th Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Founders’ Day with Amazing Grace Etiquette

Greetings Loves, Last Saturday, I had the absolute honor of modeling in an elegant Hat Fashion Show to celebrate the 110th Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Founders’ Day.  January 15 is officially the day that their Founders put a vision into reality and organized Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.  The fashion show was hosted by Corbett Modeling Group, which is part of Amazing Grace Etiquette based in Raleigh, NC at Brier Creek Country Club. Amazing Grace Etiquette is spearheaded by Dr. Donna Corbett, and its mission is to provide innovative etiquette education to adults and children throughout the Triangle area.  These qualities are essential to social development of youths and adults; however, often appear to have been forgotten and ignored in this century.  Dr. Corbett’s background includes twenty years of corporate experience, and over a decade of experience in etiquette education and modeling arenas.  She has embraced her calling to be a powerful force in the Triangle community! Each model graced the runway wearing the finest hats dating from 1962 to 2017 from The Mary E. Corbett Hat Collection.  Ms. Mary E. Corbett, Donna’s mother, is a woman who adores hats and has a collection of over 300!  The Hat Fashion Show is elegance at it’s best!  It’s perfect for ladies’ teas, fundraisers, birthday celebrations, or any type of event where you would like to add class and pizzazz. It was a treat to be in the presence of such a beautiful group of empowering ladies.  As a woman, vintage connoisseur and hat collector, this day was simply a dream come true! Love, The Ultimate...
Cheers to New Beginnings

Cheers to New Beginnings

Happy Sunday Loves, This is the last post for 2017 and I’m making a GRAND entrance into the new year.  This fox fur stole, velvet dress, and fairytale pumps is the perfect look for a New Years Gala.  I hope you’ve enjoyed my “Glitz and Glam Holiday Series”, and the style inspiration I have provided has been a benefit in some way. I’d like to take this time to thank God for without him I’m nothing! Thank you also to each and everyone who has believed in me, supported me in any way, not given up on me, and allowing me to share my style with you.  I don’t take that for granted.  I look forward to providing more style inspiration in 2018. Happy New Year to you and your families, and Cheers to New Beginnings in 2018! The Art of Fashion

The Art of Fashion

Hey Loves, I painted the perfect picture in this denim skirt by SevenTwo Denim. SevenTwo Denim was launched in 2012 and is a premium denim brand featuring a line of skirts in luxuriously lit fits, fabrics, and finishes.  I have never owned a denim skirt with such a wonderful stretch that hugged my curves in a nice way combining both quality and comfort.  I was also impressed to know that every single piece can also be found in a maternity fit.  I wish they were available when I was pregnant with my son many moons ago. 🙂 SevenTwo Denim has definitely accomplished their mission of bringing sexy sophistication to the jeans genre, via the skirt and I’m enjoying every minute of it!
